Austin Lucas, age 28, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul Lucas, Loree Lucas, and Hoyal Wilkerson. He is survived by his wife of 9 years Lindsay Lucas, daughter Ailsa Lucas, mother Paula Lucas, father Scott Lucas, brother Jonathan Lucas, grandmother Bobbye Wilkerson, and uncles and aunts Tommy and Gwen Lucas and Randy and Amelia Wilkerson.
In his 28 years, Austin did not waste time in accomplishing everything he set his mind to. When he wanted to learn to fight, he started with boxing and went on to be a Jiu jitsu prodigy. Austin had always wanted to be in the military so he signed up to be an infantryman in the Army. His persuasion and intellect were two of the primary driving factors that awarded him a special forces contract despite having a broken back and no cartilage in his knee.
Austin married his soulmate, Lindsay, in December of 2013. They spent 5 years in beautiful Colorado together. Austin graduated from the University of Colorado with a History Degree which encouraged his ongoing interest in history and current events.
After graduation, they moved back to Tennessee and bought their first home because that’s where his heart and family are. Next in the plan was to start a family. Austin and Lindsay were blessed with a baby girl, Ailsa Grace, on November 1st, 2021.
Austin was so much more than his accomplishments. He was a man you could rely on, who knew who he was, and who knew his value in himself and in life. He was a man of honor. You were lucky to call him a friend.
Austin was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. His dream was to live a simple life on a farm - to raise kids on the land and enjoy easy living. He was constantly learning and he heavily researched everything he set his sights on. Austin had a huge heart and was a very sentimental man. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
