Charles Henry Arnold, Jr., 77, of Golden Beach, MD (now residing in Brentwood, TN) passed away at home on October 7, 2020. He was born on October 17, 1942, in Washington, DC. He was the son to the late Charles H., Sr and Florence H. (Burt) Arnold. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy Arnold, Eddie Arnold, and his sister Barbara Arnold. He has a brother Tommy Arnold of Florida, Johnny Arnold of Virginia and a sister, Lorraine (Arnold) Campbell of Delaware.

Charles (Chuck) married Bette Anne (Francis) on February 15,1963. He retired from NASA after 42 years of service.

He was the loving father to four children; Charles R. Arnold (Maria) of Hughesville, MD, Joseph H. Arnold (Jennifer) of Burns, TN, Jeffrey A. Arnold (Elizabeth) Brentwood, TN, and Robin Arnold Bell (Steve) of Brentwood, TN. He had 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews and many dear friends and family.

Chuck lived a simple life enjoying his old cars and getting together with his buddies. He and his wife would host family and friend gathering on the weekends. Chuck at the grill and playing music with his uncles and friends. His wife Bette Anne would do all the cooking. He and Bette Anne loved to cruise in their classic convertible on the weekends. He was a member of the Crown Victoria Association.

A graveside burial will take place at 1:00 on Thursday, October 15, 2020.
