SCHEEL, Evelyn G.- age 85, passed from this life August 29, 2012 in Gallatin. She was surrounded by her family including her loving husband of 65 years; Frank Scheel of Hendersonville, TN. Evelyn's legacy began in North Carolina where she grew up with 8 brothers and sisters. She met and fell in love with Frank in Norfolk, VA. They married in 1947, moved to Minnesota, and became the parents of 4 children: Bob Scheel of Cottontown, Jerry Scheel Tracy of White House, Steven Scheel Christina of Atlanta, GA, and Susan Clark Michael of Hendersonville. She was the grandmother of 14, and great-grandmother of 9. Evelyn enjoyed life to its fullest. She and Frank were regular bowlers at Hendersonville Bowling Alley. She also looked forward to her trips to Las Vegas and Tunica. Her favorite times were spent with her family. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, positive attitude, and a laugh she was always willing to share. Memorial donations may be made to the National Stroke Association, at www. Stroke.org. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home with interment to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
