Mr. James Roy "Buck" Overby age 77, of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away, on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

He was born in Fairview, Tennessee, on May 23, 1941, to the late James Horace Overby, and Nelly Sullivan Overby. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Peggy Overby, son James Steven Overby, and a brother Harvelle Overby.

Surviving are his wife Kathy W. Overby. Children; Jeff Overby (Angie), and Mary Jane Overby. Brother Demi Overby. Grandchildren; Alicia Glasby (Ryan), Andrea Overby (Vince), Sgt. Blake Engle (Danise), and Holly Hubert. Great grandchildren; Scarlett Glasby, Amelia Glasby, Lillian Glasby, and Amelia Engle.

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Glasby, Vince Kubisiak, Scott Lain, John Geny, Joshua Coleman, and Donald Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Campbell, Dennis Gregory, Danny Boze, David Johnson, John Greene, Fred Walker and Remen Henriquez.

A Celebration of life service will be conducted Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at three o'clock in the afternoon. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening, and on Tuesday from one o'clock in the afternoon until the hour of the service at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
