Mark William Simpson, age 61, passed peacefully, in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his loved ones, on August 6th 2020, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He dedicated 35 years of his life as a district manager of The Tennessean newspaper. He was known for his selflessness, loyalty, and dedication to family; and he was loved for far more. He was a faithful husband, doting father, and beloved son. He held a deep love for his family and cherished the time they spent together honoring tradition. He was a living example of Psalms 73:26: "Though my flesh and my heart fail, God is the rock of my heart, my portion forever." He is preceded in death by his mother Patricia Ann Simpson, and is survived by his father William Wayne Simpson, wife Sandra Marie Simpson, daughter Sara Simpson-Mangrum (Matthew), brother Danny Simpson (Renee), and sister Mary-Lynn Highers.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 13 2020 at 11 a.m. at Saint Matthew Catholic Church in Franklin, TN. The doors will be opened at 10:30 a.m. A mask or facial covering is required for those 12 and over.
