Addie Ellen Roberts passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021 at the age of 97 surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Frank Roberts.
She is survived by her daughters, Faye (Buzzie) Duncan and Jacqui (Robert) Brassell, Granddaughters, Carri (Will Shuff) Duncan, Kelley (Patrick) Firestone, Michelle (Kevin) Barker and Sara Rose including six great-grandchildren, Michael and Jack (Michelle) Butts, Ben and Hayden Firestone, and Landon and Madelyn Rose.
Ms. Roberts’ was a wonderful and beloved homemaker that loved to cook. To some, she was Ms. Roberts', Addie, Addie Ellen, A.E. Grammie or Grandmother. The matriarch or better known as “The G.O.A.T.” She loved attending garage sales and spending time with her family every chance she could. Our family was fortunate to grow up with her making dinner every Thursday evening which turned into endless evenings of watching ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ and ‘Friends’ episodes with family. She was the absolute best cook but couldn’t begin to tell you how anything was made or measured because it was always "a pinch here or dash there” she’d say. She could create an amazing spread for both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners all by herself and it was simply wonderful. She loved ‘The Golden Girls, Wheel of Fortune, and The Price is Right' to name a few. She was an ‘In The Pines’ and country music humming sweet lady that loved her puzzle books and adored her family. She had a sweet twinkle in her eye and love for us all. She will forever be greatly missed.
