Alan Steele McCoy
Alan Steele McCoy, age 63, of Palm Harbor, Florida passed away on November 4, 2015. Born September 26, 1952 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Edna and Frank McCoy, Jr. Alan graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 1979 and was commissioned into the United States Army with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He retired after 21 years with the rank of Major.
He was preceded in death by his mother Edna Vanberg, father Frank McCoy, Jr. and sister Judy Milligan. Survivors include his wife Jan McCoy of Palm Harbor, Florida, his daughter Heather McCoy of Augusta, Georgia, and sisters Margaret (Billy) Travis of Nashville, Tennessee, Carol McCoy of Warwick, Rhode Island, and Sandy Ollenburg of Charleston, South Carolina.
Arrangements will be handled by Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee. A private funeral service with full military honors will be conducted Thursday, November 12th at 1PM at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery.
