Arthur Leonard Tate III ("Bootsie") of Hermitage, Tennessee, passed away at Vanderbilt University Medical Center Tuesday, January 23, 2018; he was 65 years old.
Mr. Tate was preceded in death by his parents Arthur Leonard Tate, Jr. and Ruby Gorrell Tate; and brother William Lyle Tate. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Bonnie Anderson Tate; son Arthur Leonard Tate IV (Jayzette); son Jeremy Shawn Tate (Regina); son Lester Paul Murph; daughter Amanda Joy Tate; son Jacob Lynn Tate; son William Raymond Tate (Tasha); eleven grandchildren; brother Jerry Tate (Sue); brother Ricky Tate (Jerelyn); brother Bobby Tate; sister Shirley Mayo; sister Carol Moss (Buford); sister Elaine Gunn (Paul); and honorary brother Kendall Adams.
Visitation for Mr. Tate will be Friday, January 26, 2018, 3:00 - 7:00 p.m., and again Saturday, 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 10:00 a.m.; all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, Tennessee, 37221.
