Barbara Ann (Cole) Lindquist of Bon Aqua, Tennessee passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 27, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born January 16, 1935, in La’ Grange, Georgia to Benjamin F. (Bennie) and Mary Eva (Crowe) Cole.
Barbara (Bobbie) was a 1952 graduate of La’ Grange High School in Georgia. After graduation, she went on to have a rewarding career with the telephone company while successfully raising five children until she retired in 1991.
Barbara enjoyed traveling, sewing, playing piano, gardening, bird watching, crocheting, and keeping up with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mary Cole, sisters Mary Eva and Pearlie May (Cole) Cleaveland, brother-in-law Charles Cleaveland nephew Bennie Cleaveland, and grandson Kevin Michael Ray Perdue.
Barbara leaves behind to carry on her legacy five children, Raymond Roger Lindquist Jr., Martin Dayle Lindquist, Cindy Jay Perdue (Ray), Terry Michael Lindquist (Kathy), and Donna Rae Lawhon (Phillip); ten grandchildren, Joshua Moore, Julie Ann Walters, Jessica (Lawhon) Fusco (Tim), Shari Harrington (Justin), Erik Lindquist (Kaci), Noah Lindquist, Casey Lawhon (Brad), Susan Lindquist, April Tysar, and Joey Tysar; and eighteen great grandchildren. Along with two very special great grandsons, Zachary Luna and Bryce Parker; two great-great grandchildren; nieces Gayle O’Neal (and son Gene), Sandra Cleaveland (Bennie) and nephew Walter Cleaveland (Cindy).
Barbara was a true southern Georgia peach. Eternally loved and forever sassy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, July 3, 2023, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home in Nashville, Tennessee. Burial will follow in the Garden of Grace at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again on Monday, July 3 from 10:30am until the hour of service.
