We remember Barbara Anne Clark, whose spirit departed from us on October 9, 2024, at the age of 91. Barbara has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. We invite all who cherished Barbara to join us in a ceremony of remembrance at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery on Tuesday, October 15, where we will share stories, laughter, and tears, just as Barbara would have wished.
Barbara was born in Memphis, TN, in October of 1932 to Byron L. and Betty Y. Clark, deceased. She was predeceased by brothers, Byron S. Clark (Frances), Phillip T. Clark (Marilyn) and David Y. Clark. Barbara is survived by her nephew Byron S
Clark (Tami) and niece's Kathryn Clark (Walter) and Holly Clark Burr ( Nick). She is also survived by her great nephews, Dr. Kyle Walker (Kellie) and their children Kasen and Kit , Trevor Clark, and great niece Katie Clark Rideout ( Tyler).
Barbara graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Ward-Belmont Junior College and Vanderbilt / Peabody joint universities.
Barbara spent the majority of her career in personnel/ human resources. She formed a personnel recruitment search firm in 1981, serving as president and general manager as well as an active recruiter. Her firm assisted many companies in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama in identifying and recruiting qualified individuals to fill their personnel needs. Barbara retired in 1997. She was a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church.
