Bates Raymond Davidson, age 78 of Bon Aqua, TN went home to be with the Lord on August 26, 2014.

Bates was born in Nashville, TN on July 9, 1936 to the late Leon & Frances Davidson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara Maynard Davidson; children, Deborah Davidson, Roger Davidson & Susan (Jarell) Lankford; sister, Betty Brittle; 4 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Bates life will be conducted on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 am with an hour visitation prior to service.

Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens
