Benny Sullivan

Benny Sullivan, age 71 of Fairview, TN passed away on September 6, 2021.

Benny is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kimberly (Kim) Newman Sullivan, children Keith (Jessica), Matthew (Taylor), and Blake (Luba) Sullivan; grandchildren Brody, Scout, Meredith, and Liam Sullivan; and sister Donna Bowen (Rickey).

He is preceded in death by his father Lloyd Bernice Sullivan, mother Margaret Miller Sullivan, and sister Linda Taylor (Jerry).

Benny was born October 8, 1949 in Nashville, TN and was a lifelong resident of Fairview, TN. At the age of 15 he began his career in the millwork industry, starting in the warehouse at Tennessee Building Products (TBP), eventually working up to the position of Vice President & Sales Manager. He was with TBP for 34 years before finishing his career at Central Woodwork, retiring in 2013.

Benny was a devoted husband, father, and Papa. He was happiest when surrounded by family, working with his sons on home improvement projects, and driving his grandkids around on his tractor. He was involved in activities at First Baptist Church Fairview; serving on the Building & Grounds Committee for several years and enjoying grilling “Benny Burgers” at the Upward flag football games sponsored by the church.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 PM, September 10, 2021, at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens on Highway 100. Travis Taylor will officiate. Internment at Sullivan Cemetery in Fairview following the service.
