Benton Tomlinson

Benton Douglas Tomlinson, age 83, passed away on December 7, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born in Williamson County on May 9, 1939.

He is preceded in death by his mother Rosie Tomlinson and father Leslie Tomlinson, sisters, Clemmie Hall and Juanita Stricker, brothers, George Tomlinson and Paul Tomlinson.

Benton is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Carolyn Tomlinson, sister Euphemia Lampley, brother Roger (Nancy) Tomlinson and several loved nephews and nieces.

Benton was a hardworking man, he enjoyed working on cars, yardwork and having a garden to work in. On his spare time, he enjoyed watching football games. He also loved drag racing. He worked at CSX Railroad for 33 years where he retired. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

There will be a visitation Tuesday December 13, 2022 from 10:00 am until the Celebration of Life 12:00 pm all held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221. Burial to follow at Jane Jones Cemetery 7144-7150 Old Cox Pike, in Fairview, TN 37062.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
