Anne Phillips Proctor was born at her Grandmother Vera Boswell's home in Mayland, TN on June 8, 1948, and passed away on August 26, 2016 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Anne was a graduate of Monterey High School and attended Tennessee Tech University, she was a happy child who turned into a very up-beat happy adult who loved life and people. She could count hundreds as her friends, many of whom were members of the Order of Eastern Star and former employees of Avco/Aerostructures/ Triumph Corporation. Anne served in many offices in the Eastern Star including Worthy Matron of both Alexandria #417 and Rock City #2 Chapters. She was a member of the Past Matron Association of Middle Tennessee and the Past Patrons and Matrons as well as the Past President of the Secretaries Association of Middle Tennessee, Past President of the Middle Tennessee PAGO Association and Grand Representative of Texas in Tennessee. Anne also had the privilege of being chosen as Grand Electa of the State of Tennessee in 2002, she and her husband traveled the state East to West and North to South making friends everywhere they went.
Anne is survived by her husband, who was the love of her life, Russell Don Proctor, daughter Ashley Buckner Hatcher (Damien) of Tampa, FL; son, Jeffery Buckner (Ronda) of Jacksonville, FL; stepsons, Michael Proctor and Family and Jason Proctor both of Lyles, TN; four granddaughters, Maclain Proctor, Ella Buckner, Eva Buckner and Elena Buckner; two brothers, Ed Phillips (Debra) of Nashville, TN and Keith Phillips (Tammy) of Monterey, TN. Anne had special friends, Sue Cox, Dianne Callahan, Rita Boyce, Terry Judkins and sister-in-law, Debbie Phillips.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Clara Mae "Polly" Welch Phillips.
A special thank you to the doctors and staff of Tennessee Oncology for all they did to make each and every day special in her fight for life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
