Bethany Workman Philbin, 40, fell asleep in Jesus on April 21. She is survived by her two adored daughters: Lily and Ella Ford; their father: Rob Philbin; her parents: Claude and Elizabeth Workman; her sisters: Catherine and Rebecca; and many relatives and friends.
Beth attended Franklin Road Academy and Vanderbilt and Belmont colleges. A member of the Junior League, her compassion for others led her to volunteer for many years at the Preston Taylor Ministries and St. Luke's Community House, and she worked tirelessly at the Rape Crisis Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Especially dear to her heart was a Brownie Troop of special girls she led with a family friend. She loved being a mother, animal prints, rescue dogs, and bargain hunting. Beth found solace and peace daily walking the Greenway and at St. Ann's, where she found a wonderful church home and appreciated Father Carre, in part, because of her love of the French language.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29th, at St. Ann's, with visitation from 9:00 - 10:45. A private burial will follow at a later date.
If you are inclined, Beth would have been appreciative of memorial gifts to The Preston Taylor Ministries, Box 90422, Nashville, TN 37209 or to St. Luke's Community House, secure.squarespace.com .
