Betty Jean Barrett of Nashville, Tennessee died at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville on Sunday, December 27, 2015; she was 83 years old.

Mrs. Barrett, preceded in death by her parents Hugh and Irene Peach King, and husband Elwood Barrett, is survived by sons Bethel Douglas Barrett (Carla) and David Roy-Thomas Barrett; daughters Karen Gayle Reeves (Tony) and Jane Kay Barrett; grandchildren Doug and Randy Barrett, Tony Reeves, Michael Lovell, Tyson and David Hall, and David Allen Barrett; eight great grandchildren; brothers Hugh King (Mary), and Tom King,; sisters Jackie King, Shirley Holt, and Margaret Donnell.

Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Pasquo Church of Christ.

Visitation for Mrs. Barrett will be Thursday, December 31 from 9:30 - 11:30 am with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:30 am; all at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
