Betty Ann Nichols, age 86 of Nashville, passed away on Monday October 7, 2019. She was born to the late Thomas Owen Jeter and Mildred Jones Jeter Brown on December 8, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Henry Clay Nichols, her sister Jacqueline Jeter Sadler and her brother Samuel Owen Jeter.
Betty graduated from Cohn High School in Nashville and was a member of Bellevue Christian Church. In addition to her church involvement she was active with her golfing partners, "Girls Golf", regularly played Dominos with friends, a member of The Oak Hill Garden Club, the special TSC Club and served as President of The Woman's Club of Nashville. While serving as School Secretary at Westmeade Elementary she is remembered as "Everyone's Favorite".
Betty's passion and delight was entertaining friends and family. She dearly loved her family, daughter Nancy N. Schwartz (Jon), son Daryl L. Nichols (Donna) and daughter Dana N. Burke (Charlie), grandchildren Robert A. Wright (Amelia), Adam L. Nichols (Susan), Rebecca S. Valiquette (Matt), Hank A. Nichols, Dane F. Nichols and six great grandchildren; Zac Wright, Hill and Sol Valiquette, Lynleigh, Addison and Ford Nichols.
Visitation will be held at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN 37221, Monday, October 14, 11:00 - 1:00, with funeral service to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to The Shriner's Hospital for Children, St. Jude's Hospital or the charity of your choice.
