Preceded in death by her parents, Caleb and Helen Dickson; brother, Owen Dickson; sister, Linda Beasley, niece, Jamie De La Rue; nephew, Joshua Bradford.

A devoted wife, mother, grandma, and sister, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, William Butler; daughters, Gail Butler and Whitney Hussey (John); granddaughter, Riley Hussey; sisters, Mary Bolte (Ed), Faye Dickson, Irene Bradford (Steve), June Phillips (Joe) and Margaret Kruger (Roger); nieces, Diana Bass, Paula Harris (Matt), Penny Beasley, Heather Sandell (Jeremy), Sherri Reid (Rick), Kayley Horack and Kelly Zapotocky (Brian); nephews, Jason Bradford (Ashley), John Phillips (Jurate), Christian Phillips, Will Phillips (Rebecca), Bennett Harris (Colleen), Chandler Harris (Samantha), Clay Harris and Sam Bass.

She was a Registered Dietitian and worked at the VA hospital for 35 years. She was an avid reader and a fan of "Law and Order".

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 and 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
