Beverly Pennington Rucker passed away at 84 yrs old, October 19th, 2014. Born September 9, 1930 at St Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Beverly spent her youth in the East Nashville area. She graduated Salutatorian of Litton High School and received Valedictorian honors with her degree as a registered nurse. She worked in Labor and Delivery in New York, NY before returning to Nashville to raise her four children full time. In her late 40's Beverly returned to nursing and worked for many years as a RN at Vanderbilt Hospital before becoming a Home Health nurse. Beverly loved her career as a nurse and dedicated her life to helping others. She especially loved serving her lord and being a devoted mother and fun-loving grandmother. Her generous, loving spirit and her social nature made her home always a welcoming place for family and friends. She will be so greatly missed.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father Jonathon Bandy, mother Catherine Bandy, brother Johnny Bandy, husband Don Rucker. She is survived by her children Jay, Jon, Joan and Julia Pennington; grandchildren Jeff, Blaize, Miles Pennington and Penn, Cobi and Julianna Dyer and her sister n law Betty Bandy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Beverly's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm.
