Beverly Hartman Woodward, 73, of Nashville, TN passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Beverly was born on September 16th, 1950 in Nashville, TN and was the oldest daughter of Corky and Martha Hartman. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, and by her husband of 32 years, Mike Woodward.
Beverly is survived by her two daughters, Reagan Smith of Burns, TN (Mikey) and Katie Scarbrough of Atlanta, GA (Tyler) as well as 4 younger siblings, Steve Hartman (Connie), Elaine Epps (Bill), Susie Bell (Jimmy) and Laurie Hartman (Leanne). She also leaves behind her 5 beloved granddaughters, Emily and Charlie Smith, and Anna Katherine, Hadley and Ellie Scarbrough, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Beverly was an avid reader and enjoyed researching family genealogy and local Tennessee history. She was very proud of her deep family roots here in Nashville. Bev had a quick mind and a sarcastic humor that never left her and made her a favorite among the nursing staff who cared for her during her final years.
She loved to travel, to cross stitch and to talk on the phone with her sisters or friends. However, she loved nothing more in life than spending time with her family. Whether it was family beach trips, visits with her girls or playing with her granddaughters, being with those she loved is where she always wanted to be.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
