Born in Dayton, OH on January 8, 1945
Departed on August 1, 2016 and resided in Bellevue, TN
Bobbie Ann LaFollette, 71, of Bellevue, died suddenly Monday, August 1, 2016.
She is survived by daughter: Holly McCourt Poff (Chad), two grandsons: Aidan and Court; daughter: Kelly McCourt Fry (Michael); and brother: Donnie LaFollette (Sue). She was preceded in death by her mother: Ruth Carter Walkup step-father: Russell Walkup; and her father: Donald LaFollette.
Bobbie was born on January 8, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio, but grew up in Nicholasville, Kentucky surrounded by grandparents, aunts and uncles who helped raise her with her mother, Ruth.
In high school she was President of the Future Homemakers of America, a cheerleader and prom queen.
She moved to Nashville after college where she continued to live throughout her adult life.
Bobbie, to some, and "BoBo" to many, was an excellent chef and hostess, and will be remembered for being artistic, generous, and always focused on the care of her daughters and grandsons - who loved her dearly.
She had a great laugh that will be sorely missed, and her companionship and loyalty to friends and family are a real loss to those who loved and depended on her most.
She was an avid University of Kentucky fan who was known to yell so loudly for her Wildcats that you could hear her outside her house. Her legacy will be that she taught her family the value of unconditional love, and bestowed that love to her friends, and most especially to her daughters: Holly and Kelly; and her grandchildren: Court and Aidan.
Her daughters wish to thank their father, John McCourt, for his support and love during this most difficult time.
Bobbie's funeral will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church where she was a long time member. Visitation will be Sunday, August 7 from 4-6pm at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6401 Harding Pike, Nashville, TN. The funeral Mass will be Monday, August 8 at St. Henry Catholic Church at 9:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Bobbie to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or St. Henry Catholic Church.
