Bob married Marguerite on November 2, 1954 at Park Avenue (Rolling Hills) Baptist Church where he continued to be a member until his death. Bob and Marguerite left Nashville to settle their family in Cheatham County residing briefly on Lakeside Drive and 1132 Dry Creek Road where he remained. Bob missed Marguerite deeply he retired from Metro Parks Service were he tended the landscape and watched Nashville change. He loved his family and used his lawn mower as a "Ranger". He jumped on his mower and make short trips to Holly's or Daniel's for a family party. He enjoyed watching his family and the grandchildren play. Later in his life, Bob joined a senior exercise group in Ashland city where he made many friends.
