LEMLEY, Brenda Gayle-Age 65, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2013. Brenda graduated from MTSU with a Master's in Teaching. She had a nurturing soul and she was passionate about being a teacher. She loved children and was a lifelong educator for Metro School Systems retiring with over 30 years of service. She was an artist who touched many lives during those years in the school system. She taught Art and served as a Guidance Counselor. She was very involved in her community and was a long time member of the Hendersonville First United Methodist Church as well as the Hendersonville Arts Counsel. Brenda was an avid sports fan and she adored animals. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and painting. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Randall Lemley. She is survived by her son, Greg Lemley; daughters, Missy and Paige Lemley. A Life Celebration service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hutchinson officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2p.m.-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sumner County Humane Society.
