Brent Massey Davidson

Brent Massey Davidson age 73, of Nashville, TN passed away on April 6, 2023, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a devoted Father, Grandfather, Friend, Mentor, Coach, loving Brother and Vol For Life.

Brent was born on July 11, 1949 to the late Wyly Price Davidson, Jr. and Virginia Massey Davidson in Kingsport, TN. The family moved to Camden, TN where he graduated from Central High School and attended UT-Martin before moving to Nashville to become a professional musician. He was an important contributor to the Nashville music scene in the 70s and 80s playing the Exit/In, many local venues and touring. Before pursuing his career in Alcohol and Drug Treatment, he worked in record sales and marketing, started his own marketing company and was a commercial realtor. Brent retired from Cumberland Heights Treatment Center in 2021 after almost 30 years and enjoyed time with his boys, cooking, talking politics and watching Tennessee sports.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved son, Jason Brent Davidson.

Survivors include his sons, Ryan Massey Davidson (Savanah) and Conner Kellam Davidson (Jennifer), grandson, Music Liam Davidson, sisters, Janet Davidson and Dianne Davidson and nephew, Hugh Wyly Davidson-Oatman.

A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held Sunday, April 23, 2023, from 1:30pm until 4:30pm at The Pavilion at Harpeth Hills, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN. 37221.
