Carl E. Wood, age 89 of Nashville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2015.

Carl was born in Mt. Pleasant, TN on January 7, 1926 son to the late Joel & Donnar Wood.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ann Wood.

Survivors include his children, Martha (Bobby) Bristol, Carl (Sue) E. Wood, Jr., Karen (Nelson) Parks, Cindy Guidry, Renea (Tony) Hamilton, Michelle (Frank) Fay, 9 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Carl's life will be conducted on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 10:00 am with an hour visitation prior to service.

Interment will follow in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to Alzheimer's Association in loving memory of Carl Wood.
