Carol Jean (nanu) Caruthers passed away on February 6,2021.
Carol was known for love of flowers, gardening and keeping her flowers big and beautiful being her specialty. Her favorite place to be was tending to her bird feeder on the deck watching all the birds and spending time with her family. She loved to be surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren that brought her so much joy and happiness. Her world was her dog Toto. He has been by her side for 12 years and she wouldn't have it any other way. Of course, with a warm shirt on he would be wagging his tail waiting by her side everywhere she went. Her smile was big and beautiful, and her laugh was contagious. She had the heart of gold that spread so much love over all around her.
She was greeted in heaven by her husband pBilly Clayton Caruthers; mother Annie Mae Crabtree; father Joseph Thomas Crabtree (Tommy); sister Patricia Ann Cobb. She is survived by her children, Joseph Clayton Caruthers, Deborah Deeann Martin, Eva Denise Green; grandchildren Ronnie Caruthers, Trey Caruthers, Tyler Caruthers, Ginger Huffines, Travis Riggins, Brook Hasting, great grandchildren Matthew, Bethann, Morgan, Wesli, Macie, Morgan, Madden, Beau and Luke.
A Graveside service will be held 3:00pm, Tuesday. Visitation will be 1:00pm-3:00pm, Tuesday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221, 615-646-9292, harpethhills.com
