Carol C. Reed, age 74 of Nashville, TN passed away peacefully on September 4, 2021. Born Carol Ann Crosswy in Nashville, she was the youngest child of Larue Crosswy (nee Luna) and Frank Leslie Crosswy.
Carol is survived by her son, James W. “Tres” Reed III of Nashville, her sister Lynne Crosswy McIngvale of Oxford, MS, sister-in-law Kay M. Crosswy of Tullahoma, TN, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Andrew Jay Reed of Nashville, her brother Frank Leslie Crosswy III of Tullahoma, Tn, and her former husband, James W. Reed Jr. of Nashville.
She was a class officer for the first graduating class of 1965 at Stratford High School. She attended college at Middle Tennessee State University before marrying James W. Reed Jr. and moving to Knoxville where she became a mother and helped her husband graduate from the University of Tennessee. She was a lifelong avid Vol fan and watched both her sons graduate from UT. During her life she was a wife, mother, legal secretary, dedicated Christian, proficient bargain hunter, intense board game player, wonderful party hostess, stressed reunion planner, and avid stock trader, among many other fine things. But she will be most remembered for her friendships. Some life-long friends, some newer friends, but all were special to her.
