Mr. Charles Edward Cothern age 80, of Bon Aqua, Tennessee passed away Monday June 11, 2018. He was born March 28, 1938, in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Robert Cecil and Lola Aline Tisdale Cothern.
He served in the United States Navy from 1958 - 1962 as a Seaman 1st class. Mr. Cothern was retired from the Ford Glass Company after 35 years of service. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Fairview, The McWhirtersville Masonic Lodge # 2517 F & AM, and the Al Menah Shrine Temple.
Mr. Cothern was very devoted to his family. He loved companion Jessie and his tractor. He was a farmer by heart.
He is survived by wife Frances to whom he was married on June 15, 1961. Sons and daughters-in-law; Clint and Elaine Cothern, and Lanny and Meloney Cothern.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday June 14, 2018, at ten o'clock in the morning at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bill Sherman officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday June 13, 2018, from four o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock in the evening, and Thursday from nine o'clock in the morning until the hour of the service at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
