SIGLER, Charles D. " Charlie" Age 71 years, passed away July 29, 2012. He was a 1959 graduate of Cohn High School. The owner and operator of Laverte's Corner for 47 years, where he worked his way from bottle boy to the owner. Preceded in death by parents, Harold and Nell Sigler; sister, Virginia Jones. Survived by wife of 47 years, Mary Sigler; children, Renee Sigler and Chuck Sigler; grandchildren, Eli, Walker, and Charlie Sigler; siblings, Ann Burrum, Betty Curtis, and Loyd Sigler; several nieces and nephews. Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone he came in contact with. Charlie wanted to specially thank his nurse Anna Mary at Sarah Cannon Cancer Center who helped him physically, spiritually, and emotionally. The Life Celebration service will be on Thursday, August 2, 2012, at 11am, at the West Harpeth Funeral Home with Reverend Ken Riggs officiating. Interment will be at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to Alive Hospice or Cohn High School Alumni Association. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-8pm, and on Thursday one hour prior to the service at WEST HARPETH FUNERAL HOME
