Cheryl Stephanie Stone, age 76, of Franklin, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home on March 26, 2023, with her loving husband Gerry by her side. Cheryl was born to Arthur and Anita Schoeck on December 13, 1946, in New York City, New York. She was the firstborn and only sister to Arthur and Lane Schoeck. At age one, she moved to Miami with her family, where her deep love for the beach, especially the ocean, began.
She attended the University of South Florida as a Chi Omega sister majoring in mathematics, where she met Robert Keller. Together they shared a daughter, Kristen Keller Pfister, whom she loved deeply. Nashville would become home when they moved there in 1975, where she received a master’s degree in social work from Tennessee State University. She spent 18 years in Healthcare Management as the Administrator of several prominent Psychiatric Hospitals in Middle Tennessee. Governor Ned McWherter appointed her as a Tennessee Mental Health Board of Trustees board member. However, her real love was real estate, and she gave up healthcare to become a successful realtor. In 1991, she met her greatest love, Gerry Stone. They married in 2000, and Cheryl became a bonus mom to Jessica and Lindsey Stone. In 2003 she became a first-time grandmother “Nanny” to the light of her life Kaitlyn Camille Pfister. Years later, she would have five more grandchildren, Henry, Abigail, and Isabelle Kolinski, born to Lindsey (Stone) and Tom Kolinski, and McKenzie and Emma Seals, born to Jessica (Stone) and Shaun Seales. In 2022, she became a great-grandmother to her greatest joy James Robert Francis Egan, born to Kaitlyn Camille Pfister.
Cheryl cared passionately for her family, friends, and community. She loved maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially yoga, and was passionate about travel, gardening (flowers), and flipping houses. She was an avid reader and a world-class scrabble player. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anita Schoeck, and her brother, Arthur “GG”. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerry Stone; daughter, Kristen (Keller) Pfister; bonus daughters Jessica (Shaun) Seals and Lindsey (Tom) Kolinski; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Pfister, Henry, Abigail, Isabelle Kolinski McKenzie, and Emma Seals: Great-grandchildren, James Robert Francis Egan, brother Lane Schoeck, and many other family and friends.
