DOBBINS, Clarence Jose-Age 61 of Hendersonville, TN passed away May 20, 2012. Mr. Dobbins is preceded in death by his father, Henry Dobbins; brothers, Maurice and Reginald Dobbins. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Marie A. Dobbins; mother, Annie K. Dobbins; brother, Ronald Paulette Dobbins; sisters, Deborah Michael Horton and Sonya Oliver Ibeh; 2 aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. As a young child, Mr. Dobbins was an avid reader and loved comic books. He joined the United States Air Force at 18 years of age. After being stationed in Aviano, Italy for 8 years, he returned to the U.S. to serve his last assignment at Grissom AFB in Indiana. Mr. Dobbins received many honorable military medals and an honorable discharge, retiring after 20 years of service. After leaving the United States Air Force, he joined the faculty of Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin where he taught Instructional Technology, giving 15 years of dedicated service to the college.
