Nancy Lee (Kull) Glynn, age 84, passed away November 14, 2024 while in Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born November 27, 1939 in Hornell, New York as the daughter of Walter and Leah (Fay) Kull.
Nancy was the cherished cornerstone of her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Nancy's greatest joy was the deep connections she nurtured with her family. She was a proud grandmother to 10 and great-grandmother to 10, her love extending across generations and spanning the country from California to New York.
Born and raised in upstate New York, Nancy and her husband, Thomas W. Glynn, raised their four children in Avon, NY which was her cherished home, but life eventually led her to Tennessee, Florida, and finally to Nashville, where she continued to create lasting memories with her family.
Nancy would want to be remembered not for the recent challenges she faced but for the love and joy she brought to those around her. She was happiest in her garden, sharing laughter and stories with her beloved older sister Norma, or sitting at the table playing a game of Dominos—especially Mexican Train—with her grandchildren.
In her later years, Nancy discovered a talent and passion for painting, creating watercolor portraits of birds and nature that became treasured gifts for her family. Her great-grandchildren eagerly awaited the hand-painted holiday and birthday cards she crafted with love. Nancy also found joy in simple pleasures—cheering on her beloved Buffalo Bills, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and witnessing her children and grandchildren grow, thrive, and build beautiful lives of their own.
Nancy's legacy is one of unwavering love, creativity, and devotion to family. Her proudest moments were seeing her family flourish, and her greatest accomplishment was the love that will continue to bind them together.
Nancy is survived by daughter, Colleen (Stephen) Heyman of Nashville, TN; sons, Thomas (Julie) Glynn of Canandaigua, NY, Shawn (Julee) Glynn of Durango, CO, and Dan (Kelly) Glynn of Longmont, CO . She was blessed with ten grandchildren Tyler, Caitlin, Kevin, Shayla, Anna Rose, Mandi, Sam, Emily, Riley and Abbey. She was doubly blessed with 10 great grandchildren, Annabelle, Olivia, Keegan, Xander, Darby, Roree, Wyatt, Sawyer, Goldie and Rowan and a much anticipated baby due in March, 2025. She is also survived by her sister Norma Crooks of Bradenton, FL and her brother James Kull of Hornell, NY.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband Thomas, her sisters Renee Towner, Barbara Flint, and Mary Dineen, her brothers Bill Kull, Richard Kull, Bob Kull and Chris Kull, nieces Tammy Flint and Peggy Towner Cooper and nephew Randy Harkenrider.
A Mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date in Hornell, New York. Memorial contributions can be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville, Tennessee.
