Cullum Bruce Swift, age 90 of Nashville, TN passed away Friday, June 13, 2014.

Mr. Swift was born on April 29, 1924 in Clarksville, TN to the late William & Vida Swift.

He was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church since 1955, and a member and past president of the Men's Way Sunday School Class.

In business, Mr. Swift was an investment banker. He was also a pilot, a farmer and served in the U.S Navy on the USS Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Gladish, and brother; Henry Wilson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Margie Butts Swift, four children, Pamela (Mel) Duarte, Sheila (Steve) Lloyd, Suzanne (Tommy) Ford, & Christopher (Yvette) Swift; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, & brother, William (Margaret) Swift and sister in law Ann Swift.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home where a celebration of Mr. Swift's life will be conducted at 2:00 pm with Pastor Stephen Handy officiating.

Grandsons will serve as pall bearers; Brian Kidder, Alan Kidder, Matthew Lloyd, Joel Lloyd, Thomas Ford Jr., Lee Ford, Andrew Ford & William Swift.

Interment will follow in Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
