Cynthia Vaughn, a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away on January 15, 2024. Born on December 6, 1992, in Nashville, TN. Cynthia was a compassionate soul who touched the lives of all those around her. Her passing has left a profound void, but her unforgettable presence and unwavering will forever be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Melvin “papa” Vaughn and Howard French; grandmothers, Kathleen Vaughn and Thelma McNeil; uncle, Tim Vaughn; great grandmothers, Lorraine Cheek, Edna Vaughn, and Viola McNeil; great grandfathers, Carter Vaughn and Bill McNeil, as well as many cousins.
Cynthia is survived by her son Jacob Jaxon Cole Spann and his father Ronnie Spann; father, J.R. Vaughn; mother, Rebecca Vaughn; siblings, Rendell and Brittany Mitchell, Lexus Vaughn, Zechariah Vaughn, Justina Hollars, Joshua and Ashley Jones, Randall Hollars, and numerous nieces, nephews loved ones and friends.
Cynthia found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had a passion for various hobbies. She enjoyed reading and writing as well as listing to music. Music brought comfort during both happy and difficult times.
One of Cynthia's unique passions was collecting rocks, an expression of her ability to find beauty in the simplest of things. Each rock she collected held a special place and memory. She also tried her hand at having a green thumb.
Traveling allowed Cynthia to explore and create memories. From camping adventures under starlit skies to traversing scenic routes, she embraced every opportunity to broaden her horizons.
Above all else, family held a special place in Cynthia's heart. She cherished spending time with friends and family created unforgettable moments. Her bond with her son Jacob was unbreakable.
Cynthia's infectious laughter, warm smile, and kind heart touched the lives of many during her time here. Her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew her. Let us remember her spirit of exploration, love for music and literature, passion for nature's creations, zest for life's adventures, but above all else, let us remember the unconditional love she shared with those closest to her.
Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2024 from 4:00pm ~ 8:00pm and Saturday from 11:30am ~ 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm and the burial to immediately follow all at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home 9090 Highway 100 Nashville TN 37221.
