David Donald Drummond, Jr.

Born May 27, 1938, went home to be with the Lord on September 18, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, David and Catherine Drummond, sister, Martha Drummond Conoley, and first wife, May Terry Drummond. Survived by his wife, Fran Drummond, son, David Drummond and wife Susan and their children Will, Kathleen and Elizabeth Drummond, daughter Anne Zadick and her children Catherine and Daniel Zadick, all of Nashville.

Don was born in Richmond, VA and raised in Greer, SC. He graduated from Duke University in 1960 where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering, began working for DuPont and eventually moved to Nashville in 1970. After retiring from DuPont, Don had a second career as a certified financial planner with TrustCore.

Don was a founding member of Christ Presbyterian Church and served many years as a Sunday School teacher, deacon and elder and participated in many mission trips.

Don loved music and enjoyed playing Chuck Berry, Roy Orbison, and John Fogerty on his Gibson ES330 guitar.

He loved being with people and never missed an opportunity to socialize whether it was going to a football game, a party or just going to dinner with friends or family. He and Fran enjoyed traveling and went to many wonderful places around the world in recent years.

Private family burial will be September 21, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, September 21 from 4-6pm at Christ Presbyterian Church. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 22 at 1pm at Christ Presbyterian Church with visitation at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Presbyterian Academy or Habitat for Humanity.
