HURT, David Lee Joe – Age 84 of Goodlettsville, passed away January 10th, 2013. Mr. Hurt was a loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. His legacy is one laid on a Christ – centered foundation for his large family, and he led a life as a Godly example. He enjoyed spending time outdoors; fishing, camping and gardening. Most of all, he loved being surrounded by family and those he loved. He was a longtime member and elder of Cornerstone Church and loved the Lord with all his heart. Mr. Hurt is survived by his wife, Jewel, of 64 years; four children, Cathy and David Maxwell of Silver City, New Mexico, Ronnie and Veda Hurt of Goodlettsville, TN, Joy and Harry Sudekum of Hendersonville, TN, Mike and Gaye Hurt of Gallatin, TN; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
