Delana Franks, of Nashville passed away February 26, 2018.
Ms. Franks was a caring, loving, giving, and compassionate woman. She was a devoted Christian and member of Sylvan Park Free Will Baptist and Hillcrest Baptist churches. She was dedicated to being a missionary in many ways, such as, Sunday School Teacher, greeter at church and a witness to her faith to everyone in which she came in contact. She enjoyed going to church, bible studies, bingo, checkers, "The Wheel" as she called (Wheel of Fortune) and most of all spending time with her family especially her great-grandbabies.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Lee Singletary Cason & Walter Lee Cason; sisters, Stella Ray & Emmie Yawn; brothers, Otis, Henry, Russell and Mance. Survived by her adoring children, Gwendolyn Dobson (Matthew), Rhonda Kay Ring (Ken), Brenda Bakalar (Donald), Denese Smith, Jacquelyn McReynolds (Robert) and Edwin Franks (Gretchen); 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; her two dear friends, Joy Phillips and Mary Roberts; several extended family and friends.
A Life Celebration will be 2:00pm, Thursday with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Grandsons to serve as pallbearers.
