Mrs. Deloris Gertrude Buttrey of Ashland City, TN passed away on November 12, 2017 at her residence, The Waters of Cheatham, in Ashland City. Mrs. Buttrey was born to the late Gordon Buttrey and Nannie Hamilton Buttrey on March 19, 1927.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Howell Townes; brother Vernon Buttrey; Sister Gladys Jones; and her nephews Lucien Jones and Gary Buttrey.

Mrs. Buttrey is survived by her nieces Stella Nash, Barbara Vaughn, Bettie Hughes, and Reta Nash; grandniece Geraldine Baucom; grandnephews Audie Jones, Andy Jones, and Elvis Jones; and several other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend Debbie Jones.

A Life Celebration Service is scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:30 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills. Visitation is scheduled for the same day from 10:00am-2:30pm at the funeral home.
