JESSIE, Dewey Jessie- Age 74 of Franklin, Tennessee passed away March 24, 2012, Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend. Dewey loved life. He was devoted to his wife of 45 years, Jean Bryant Jessie. He was blessed with 6 Children, 7 Grand Children and 6 Great Grand Children. He was 'Poppy' to them all. He retired from Roadway Express in Orlando, Florida in 1988 and from Phillips Builders/Beazer Homes, Nashville in 2005. As a child and throughout his adulthood he loved learning new things. Dewey had many skills and talents. He could build anything, restore old cars, sing and play guitar, sketch and paint. He loved reading about the wild west and watching cowboy movies. He enjoyed puzzles and word games and he loved reading his Bible and his favorite scriptures. Dewey never met anyone he could not carry on a long conversation with! He is dearly loved by his family and has given us many happy memories. We will miss him. Visitation will be Saturday, March 31st from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM with the memorial service immediately following at 1:00 PM at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Highway 100, Nashville, TN 37221, 615-646-9292.
