Dewey Perrigo transitioned peacefully on Sunday, March 4th, 2019 surrounded by family and friends after a sudden illness that led to organ failure. Dewey was born in Goodlettsville on December 4, 1953 to Nellie Ruth Ezzell Perrigo and James "Doc" Perrigo.
A true Southern gentleman, Dewey will be remembered by both friends and family for his many professional accomplishments but even more so for his exuberant personality, his quick, dazzling smile and especially for his seemingly unlimited storytelling capabilities. A caring and devoted father, loyal husband, loving son, and fun-loving friend, Dewey touched so many with his kindness, empathy and unique sense of humor.
Those left behind to cherish Dewey's memory include his mother Nellie Ruth, his beloved wife Andrea, sons Colin and Shane, daughter Dylan Perrigo and son-in-law Bruno Abramoff and grandsons Elias and Otto as well as many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father "Doc" and his brother Ricky.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society at LLS.org.
Funeral Services for Dewey Lee Perrigo, of Nashville, will be on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens in Nashville TN at 2:30 pm.
