Dixie Beard- Age 77 October 6, 2017. Preceded in death by her first husband, Lawrence Pendergrass; father, Harley Buttrey.
Survived by her husband, Norman Beard; children, Susan Ham (Stan) and Larry Pendergrass; step-children, Lynne White (Shawn), Meredith Beard and Allison Roberts (Dean); grandchildren, Brent Ham (Whitney); Tiffany Greer (Matthew) and Dana Davis (Ryan); nine great-grandchildren; mother, Marie Buttrey; brothers, Thomas Buttrey (Dorothy) and Rex Buttrey (Fonda); she is also survived by many other family members.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always had a smile on her face. She was a Christian who loved the Lord. One of the kindest women you would ever meet.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017 and 10-11 a.m. on Monday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
