Donald Lee Richardson, born December 15, 1937 in Earlington, KY, passed away peacefully at home in Nashville, TN with family at his side on September 12, 2019 at the age of 81.

Don is preceded in death by his son Robert, brother David, and his parents. He is survived by his wife Connie, of 40 years; sons Cody of Huntsville, AL., Clint, and Tate of Nashville, TN; sisters Reba Parrish of Paducah, KY, Martha Bean (Bill) of Indianapolis, IN, and Iva Sue Gentry of Amarillo, TX; brother Jerry Mounts (Kris) of North Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren Oakley, Ozzy, & Ollie; and many nieces and nephews.

Don was a world traveler, a music lover, and a devoted husband and father. He was an Army Veteran and later in life, after retirement from mortgage lending, he became a stay at home Dad. He was a huge fan of University of Kentucky basketball and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good game. Don enjoyed being outside, going to concerts and being with his family. He was member of Woodmont Baptist Church and the DFW Sunday school class.

The family of Mr. Richardson would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Mcrae and Dr. Matthew Leavitt for their years of dedicated care.

A visitation will take place at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Sunday, September 15 from 4-6pm and again on Monday, September 16 from 10-11am at Woodmont Baptist Church, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11am. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

A reception to follow at the Harpeth Hills Pavilion from 2-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Don Richardson can be made to the American Diabetes Association , the American Heart Association , or to St. Jude Children's Medical Research Hospital .
