Donald Harlow, a craftsman and seasoned tool and die designer, passed away on December 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of skill and dedication. Born on October 26, 1936, Donald lived a life marked by service, creativity, and a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing.
Donald is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Carolyn Cagle; parents, Raymon Harlow and Virginia Steele Harlow.
Donald is survived by his brother, Gale (Beth) Harlow; nieces and nephews, Sherrie Kearn, William Harlow, and David Harlow.
A proud veteran, Donald spent four years in the Navy, where he served with the Sixth Fleet. His military service instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and respect, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life. After completing his service, he honed his skills and pursued an education that would set the foundation for his remarkable career. He graduated from Hillsboro High School, went on to attend Tennessee Tech, and ultimately earned a certificate in tool and die design.
Donald was not just a professional in his field; he was a true craftsman at heart. His hobbies reflected his creative spirit, whether he was out fishing on a quiet lake or passionately building a car with his own two hands. Each project he undertook was approached with the same fervor and attention to detail that characterized his professional work.
Donald leaves a rich tapestry of memories woven from love, laughter, and the simple joys of life. He will be deeply missed.
