Donna Jean Prather of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at Alive Hospice Residences on March 3, 2018; she was 87 years old.
She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, William Lee Prather; daughter Karen S. Peck; son William R. Prather; son Mark A. Prather; son Thomas S. Prather (Brenda); daughter Janice L. Poma (David); eleven grandchildren (Kim, Karisa, Kevin, Amy, Kara, Adam, Josh, Taryn, Abigail, Bailey, William) and ten great grandchildren (Lauren, T.J., Ryan, Graham, Shawn, Amanda, Chandler, Ayden, Kinsley and Paisley and one on the way, Hays).
Private services will be held on Saturday, March 10 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
Donna was born in Kansas City, MO. Donna married Bill and they started their family. Bill's job with General Motors took them to Detroit, MI. When Bill retired in 1987, they moved to Fairfield Glade, TN. In the summer of 2017 they moved to Nashville to be closer to family.
Donna enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, quilting, cooking, traveling abroad and spending time with family and friends. Donna enjoyed life and loved her family.
Memories of Donna will live on through her loving family and her good friend of 40 years, Patti LaPrese.
Her love, laughter and kindness will be missed.
