Following an extended illness, Doris Sylman Wright Greer, age 86 of Pegram, ascended into the arms of her Savior on July 10, 2017, from her residence.
The Pegram native was the daughter of the late Georgie Palmore Wright and Murtie Lee Wright. Additionally, she was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene Greer; and three siblings: Meredith Estes, Mattie Estes Mason and M. Wayne Wright.
Doris was raised in the Methodist church where she learned the foundation of service and care for others. She is remembered as a tremendous mother and caregiver to those around her, with a special love for her family.
She is survived by her son: Marty Greer; sister: Jo-Ann Wright Welch; and nieces: LinnAnn Welch and Donna Estes Sexton.
Her family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 3-8 pm and Thursday from 9:30-11:30 am at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:45 am Thursday at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
