Mrs. Dorothy Sue Adcock age 91 of Kingston Springs, TN. passed away on January 13, 2024 at NHC at The Meadows with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born on August 5, 1932, to the late Almer Clyde Rounsaville and Vernita Edith Sayler Rounsaville. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Gene Adcock, brother, Kenneth Rounsaville and sister, Linda Pyrdum.
Her eyes would light up at the mention of birthday parties, where laughter and celebration filled the air. Dorothy had a special talent for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories. She was the life of the party, spreading warmth and joy to all who were in her presence. Yahtzee and puzzles were not just games for Dorothy; they were avenues of connection and shared moments with loved ones. Whether it was the thrill of rolling the dice or the satisfaction of completing a challenging puzzle, these activities were a testament to her playful spirit and love for togetherness. Above all, Dorothy's heart belonged to the Lord, and her faith was an unwavering source of strength and guidance. She found peace in her spiritual journey and shared that peace generously with others. Her love for the Lord was the foundation of her kindness, compassion, and boundless love for her family. Dorothy's greatest joy was found in the company of her family. Time spent together was precious to her, creating a tapestry of love and connection that will endure in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Survivors include her six children, Dan (Robbie) Adcock, Dennis (Carolyn) Adcock, David (Ronalda) Adcock, Deborah (Ronald) Johnson, Donna (Jack) Johnson, Doris (Danny) Neil, siblings, Jean Fisher, Don Rounsavill(Dorain), Willie Pyrdam and Gerry Rounsaville , eleven grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.
Visitation with the Adcock family will begin on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 10:00 am until service time at 11:30 am with Doug Couch officiating.
