Dorothy G. Chambers age 87 of Nashville went to be with her heavenly father Saturday, January 11, 2020. She was born September 5, 1932 in Thompsonville, Michigan to the late Frank and Lena Griffin. Dorothy is also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Everett Chambers and eight siblings.

Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother who was very active in her church. She loved gardening and cooking and served her community with the Meals on Wheels program. She is remembered by her family as having a great sense of humor.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Randall Fernette (Lisa), Lynne Smith (John Ricky), Daniel E. Chambers III, Mark Chambers (Marsha) and Lori Hadden (David); grandchildren, John (Linda), Lauren, Megan (Brad), David (Lauren), Daniel (Britney), Misty, Rett, Ally, and Katie; and a host of great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 -8 p.m. Wednesday, January 15th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 16th at St. Ignatious Orthodox Church in Franklin. Interment will follow at 12 noon at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be John Smith, Rett Chambers, David Hadden Jr., Daniel Hadden, Misty Hadden, Ally Chambers, Megan Smith and Brad Gomez
