Dorothy “Dot” Saltsman Brown, age 92, passed away on May 3,2021, at Centennial Hospital. She was born on December 9, 1928 in Nashville, TN.
Preceded in death by husband Amos Brown; parents, Oscar and Emma Saltsman; sister, Majorie Saltsman Meadows; brother, Oscar Saltsman Jr.; nephew, August James Meadows Jr.; granddaughter-in-law, April Dozier; great-grandson, Christopher Andrew Dozier, and son-in-law Robert Dozier.
She is survived by children Connie Dozier and Robert Brown (Glenda); grandchildren, Robert Dozier Jr. (Christiana Scott), Michael Dozier, Andrew Dozier, Aimee Dozier Jones (Antonio), Robyn Brown Floyd (Tracy), and Elliott Brown; great grandchildren Shelby, Jacob, and Miranda Dozier, Emma Ausbrooks, Rowan and Crue Floyd, Michael and Dillon Scott.
Dorothy graduated from Isaac Litton in 1947. She worked for Murray Ohio Manufacturing for 30+ years and Macys for 10 years. She was a member of Pasquo Church of Christ for 66 years. She enjoyed going on vacation with her family to Daytona Beach, Florida and Gatlinburg. She had many hobbies like golfing and bowling. Dorothy was a great cook and enjoyed feeding a crowd. She loved to meet people and never met a stranger.
There will be visitation Friday May 7,2021 from 5:00 – 8:00 and Saturday 9:00 -10:00 with a Celebration of Life at 10:00. Burial will follow all at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens 9090 Highway 100, Nashville TN, 37221.
