Earnest Harold Smith

Mr. Earnest Harold Smith was born in Middlesboro, KY to Simon Sylvester and Myrtle Tye Smith on September 10, 1935.  He attended college in Kentucky where he met the love of his life, Alice Goforth and for 67 years, they enjoyed a wonderful life together.  Harold was a veteran, and had a lifelong career as an Accountant, working into his 80's and loving every day of it.  Earnest Harold Smith passed away March 21, 2025, at the age of 89 years.  He was known and loved for his humor, his smile and his gentleness.  He enjoyed his woodworking, was a Civil War buff, and liked to walk.  Radnor Lake and Long Hunter State Park were 2 of his favorite places.  With his family, he looked forward to beach trips on Hilton Head.  Dearly loved, he will be missed by those who knew him best.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Myrtle Smith and his brother, Gary Lee Smith.   He is survived by his loving wife, Alice Smith, nephews Wayne Smith (Jeanie) and Mark Smith (Jamie), 1 great niece and 1 great nephew, 2 great great nieces and 2 great great nephews.

A graveside service will held be on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in the Garden of the Last Supper, Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN to honor Harold's life and legacy.
