Eddie Grover Vaden of Nashville died September 10, 2015 at his home.
Born December 19, 1935 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of Grover A. Vaden and Mattie Ingram Vaden, both deceased. Eddie graduated from George Washington High School in Danville, and attended the University of Virginia.
He served in the United States Air Force four years as math and surveying instructor at ERDL, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. After 30 years of employment with the Prudential Insurance Company of America, Eddie retired in 1992. As a member of Bellevue United Methodist Church, he has served as Membership Secretary for a number of years and was a member of the History and Archives Committee.
Survivors are his wife of fifty-six years, Sylvia Dameron Vaden; daughter Melinda V. Tate and husband Miles of Murfreesboro; daughter Dr. Laurel V. Alsentzer and husband John of Nashville; daughter Amy V. Biagini of Franklin; grandchildren: Nick Tate and wife Lindsay, Natalie T. Gay and husband Kearney, Dr. Andy Alsentzer, Robbie Alsentzer, Emily Alsentzer, and Joey Biagini. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and three sisters of Virginia. He was predeceased by a sister and brother.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bellevue United Methodist Church on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2:00 pm with a visitation beginning at 1 pm.
